A fully funded card is bought and placed in PSA Vault custody. Purchase, shipment, delivery and vaulting are each written to a public log that can only be added to, and every entry carries the reference it was recorded against.
The custody log on a card page is written as each step actually happens. Every entry carries the reference you need to check it yourself.
As soon as funding completes, SlabStake buys that exact listing from eBay’s PSA Store. The shares are issued then, one for each dollar of the real checkout cost.
The seller sends the card straight to the PSA Vault. It is never handled by SlabStake.
PSA receives the slab and confirms its arrival against the tracked shipment.
The card enters PSA Vault custody. From that point its shares trade in the card’s order book at a price per share.
Cards are stored in the PSA Vault, the grading company’s own secured facility. Every certificate is checked against PSA’s registry before a card is listed here.
Should the listing end, or its price rise, while the card is still funding, the card is cancelled and every pledge comes back in full with its fee. That happens automatically. A lower price only lowers the target, and the pledges stay.
A card leaves the vault when holders of more than half its shares support selling, and not before. Each holder is paid their slice of the net proceeds by shares held, rounded to the nearest cent, and SlabStake keeps or covers the rounding difference.
Members will soon be able to list a PSA-graded card they already hold. The rules are set out in the seller policy, and the summary is below.
A verified member lists a slab they already hold and keeps at most a third of it. The slab is then sent to SlabStake’s own PSA Vault account, insured and with a signature required, within three business days of the listing going live or selling out. Every step is written to the same public log.
Buyers’ pledges wait in escrow until intake. Once PSA confirms the card against the listing, the shares are issued and the seller is paid for the pledged part, less their fee. Any share bought from the seller’s ask after intake pays the seller at once.
A slab that arrives late, or that does not match its listing, fails the listing outright. Every pledge is refunded automatically with its fee, and the consequence falls on the seller.
